Created by Burkhard Dämmer, the I-Club is designed with clean architectural lines and a longer form that will illuminate its surroundings with understated elegance. An innovative lighting series, I-Club has a symmetrical beauty that is replicated across a number of models: suspension, wall, ceiling, floor and table. As a suspension lamp, the I-Club’s extended length is perfect in those environments requiring an extra level of directional light with only one fixture: above a kitchen surface, a dining table or bed. Utilised as a small wall lamp, the I-Club is perfectly poised to highlight a dim stairwell and illuminate a favourite painting. As a floor lamp, the I-Club’s stature is striking, its contemporary form projecting light across the room. Burkhard Daemmer, born in Germany in 1965, studied industrial design at the University of FH Darmstadt Germany and the University of San Jose in California. For him, design means a way of finding good answers for new and old problems. Questions on the use, the life and vision of a product. With this philosophy in mind the work with veneer and light is always a special challenge. But the material and the company LZF serve for the best basis for beautiful designs in the past, the present and future. Apart from his designs for LZF , Burkhard has worked for companies such as; Adhoc GmbH, Arnold AG, Bankamp GmbH, DO-CE Mueble, Leucos, Modiss Iluminacion, Radeberger Group, Schöck GmbH, Zwilling AG, and others in the field of lighting, accessories, kitchenware, bathroomware and furniture. He has been awarded many prizes including the German Design award, the Good Design award, IF award, the DesignPlus award, the FORM award, ADI Design Index and CDiM award, and has been widely published in books and magazines.
