Marco Acerbis

Marco Acerbis, after graduating in Architecture at Milan Polytechnic in 1998, moved to London to work with the Foster + Partners Studio. Returning to Italy in 2004, he opened his own design studio, exploring a wide variety of themes in the fields of both architecture and product design. In 2005, he designed his first lamp for FontanaArte, Vertigo, which met with immediate success, straight away joining the permanent collection at the Vitra Design Museum. Two years later, the catalogue saw the addition of his Polaris floor lamp and Iris wall lamp, two more creations that bear the experimental trademark visible in many of his projects. Interest in the themes of contemporary living has also led him to work on sustainable architecture projects, including the Xeliox Energy Lab, the first industrial building in Italy to receive Class A certification and the POLINS strategic innovation centre in Veneto.
