A non-designer/designer dividing his work between study, business, market, academy, new technologies and social relations, he has been at the forefront of lighting design for 20 years and has some important collaborations to his credit, including roles as artistic director for the most famous and respected European and global lighting and furnishing brands – activities that have also included all-round, free experimentation in developing the project design, technologies, materials and the brand management. Numbered among the most representative designers of the new millennium, in 2012 he co-founded Something Good, a microbrand marketing high-quality decorative products created locally in Italy, with the aim of promoting and raising the profile of craftsmanship and Italian know-how. Apart from carrying out consultancy activities on an international scale, he lectures on design themes and teaches in many Italian universities.
