Madre Table Lamp

Madre is the destination of reflections on light, its role, its essence. The form alludes to the large hips of mother goddesses, the divinities that protect the fertility of the earth. But also the vessel as a container of life, because it was first created to contain food, rather than flowers.” Andrea Anastasio Madre is a poetic object filled with references. Every aspect of light as a life-generating element is explored. The upper hollow of the large luminous body of Madre contains a vase in frosted borosilicate glass, in which to place branches to create an elegant composition. The opening, which interrupts the vase at the centre, creates a magical vision: the boundary and exchange between internal and external light, joined in a single image. The opening in the centre is cut using a thin jet of high-pressure water which makes for a high degree of precision without causing thermal alterations to the glass. The upper hollow, in which you can place decorative dry branches, (the use of liquids is forbidden) is in opaline borosilicate glass.
